Paris - May 29, 2024 - Bolero, the world's leading decentralized music investment platform, announces it has created an exclusive set of music rights bundles, allowing for business and individuals to acquire fractional revenue shares off several music catalogs at once.

As part of the NonFungible Conference (May 28-30) in Lisbon, attendees have now the opportunity to start earning music royalties from hit songs by buying into Bolero’s exclusive music assets called “Bundles”, now made accessible to all.

The Sandbox, a leading decentralized gaming virtual world and subsidiary of Animoca Brands, becomes the first Web3 global player to make a groundbreaking entrance into Bolero’s RWA called “Song Shares” by deploying $125,000 SAND.

A new asset category: music rights become tradable on the scale of a single track, or on the scale of hundreds of tracks grouped together in catalogs.

With over 11,000 customers registered, Bolero has already collaborated with over 60 rights holders, including established producers and artists such as Riles (also a shareholder), Agoria and Medine. With over 150 Song Shares already listed, the company plans to reach +1500 music rights-based assets listed in the coming weeks.

Bolero has coined its concept “Song Shares”. As the name suggests, these digital assets, issued in limited quantities, contain percentages of income from fractional music rights yielding dividends quarterly (music publishing royalties stemming from +15 sources of revenues).

As a Bolero-selected creator, the artist, producer or composer can put up for sale a discretionary share of future revenues from a master recording or musical work, to obtain unprecedented liquidity on his or her intellectual property. Once the work is sold in the form of Song Shares, each investor becomes the owner of a share of the rights’ income (master or editions), and benefits from a proportional share of the revenues generated by the song.

This first step paves the way for a future where, just like major cryptocurrencies, music rights get their own ETFs set up through a marketplace that can spot, acquire, tokenize and render liquid the people's favorite sonic endeavors.
